As Head, Business Development & Marketing, you will be responsible for driving the company's commercial growth and market presence in Thailand through three key areas: Strategic Site Development, Utilization & Revenue Growth and Brand & Market Development. The role will lead both business development and marketing activities, working closely with Project Management, Operations, Commercial, Finance, and other functions to ensure that network expansion translates into sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Site Development & Business Development
- Develop and execute the strategy for expanding the EV charging network across Thailand.
- Identify and secure high-potential strategic sites.
- Build and manage a high-quality site acquisition pipeline.
- Lead commercial negotiations with landlords and strategic partners.
- Evaluate the commercial attractiveness of new sites and ensure alignment with investment criteria.
- Work with Project Management and Engineering to ensure smooth transition from site acquisition to project development.
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships that can accelerate network expansion beyond individual site acquisition.
2. Utilization, Revenue & Station Performance
Take commercial ownership of improving the performance of existing charging stations after they go live.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase charger utilization (%UT).
- Develop station-specific commercial action plans for underperforming sites.
- Design pricing and commercial schemes to optimize utilization, revenue, and margin.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and additional revenue streams.
- Work closely with Operations to ensure station reliability and customer experience support utilization growth.
- Establish a regular Station Performance Review process and drive corrective actions.
3. Brand Strategy & Marketing
- Develop and execute the company's EV charging brand strategy in Thailand.
- Define clear brand positioning and differentiation versus other CPOs.
- Increase brand awareness, consideration, and preference among EV users.
- Develop campaigns to drive both brand awareness and actual charging transactions.
- Manage brand identity and ensure consistent customer communication across the charging network.
- Lead customer communication and engagement initiatives.
- Monitor market perception, customer feedback, and competitor activities.
4. Commercial Strategy & Market Intelligence
- Monitor Thailand's EV market, charging behavior, competitor expansion, pricing, and business models.
- Analyze competitor CPO strategies and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Develop annual Business Development & Marketing plans aligned with company strategy.
5. Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Lead and develop the Business Development & Marketing team.
- Work closely with: Project Management, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Corporate Marketing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related field.
- MBA or relevant Master's degree is an advantage.
- 10+ years of experience in Business Development, Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Strategy, or related fields.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in EV, energy, mobility, automotive, retail, property, telecommunications, or infrastructure is preferred.
- Proven track record in developing strategic partnerships and commercial opportunities.
- Experience managing both business development and marketing is highly desirable.
