Quality Engineer

Job Summary

The Quality Engineer assists in the implementation and maintenance of all quality system requirements including APQP, PPAP, customer concerns and customer visits, gauging, process control plans, supplier issues, customer specific requirements.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Working with Partner's team to implement technology and quality requirements on the shop floor, to ensure products adhere to customer's specifications.
• Track Partner's response to deliverable milestones, use quality tools & methods to assure conformity and accuracy in the production process.
• Oversee Partner's production activities ensuring completion of all commitments made relative to product quality.
• Onsite training partner on customer specification, quality requirements and awareness, in-process controls, or special requirements from project team.
• Lead quick response, analysis of customer complaint/feedback, coordinate, and follow-up the corrective actions and look across.
• Support partners to continuously optimize their quality management system, to strengthen their quality management systematization by using process audit, quality plan, LPA etc.
• Collects, organizes, monitors, and distributes information related to partner quality and process improvement function, tracks that project and program quality are met.
• Develop partner continuous improvement plans to drive improved PPM scores
  
  

Job Qualifications Knowledge Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in metal manufacturing quality working or working with quality systems required.
• Familiar with metal part production process, it's better get knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing such as stamping, punching, bending, welding, powder coating etc., CNC machining / plastic injection process control is the plus.
• Familiar with quality-related tools such as QC 7tools, FMEA, MSA, APQP, SPC, PPAP, 3X5Why, 8D etc.
• Proficient written in English, oral English is best if meet the daily work communication.
• Successful candidate must have strong computers skills, working knowledge of MS Office applications and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Ability to work with a wide range of technical, manufacturing, management personnel and business process owners globally.
• Interpersonal and negotiating skills necessary to build effective working relationships.
