Job Description

  • Develop and implement annual and quarterly sales strategies for the Microbiology and Institution business.
  • Achieve sales revenue, gross margin, market share, and profitability targets within agreed timelines.
  • Identify new business opportunities across hospitals, government institutions, universities, research institutes, laboratories, and other strategic accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, decision-makers, laboratory managers, microbiologists, purchasing teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead key account management and develop strategic plans for high-value customers.
  • Promote and sell microbiology products, culture media, laboratory consumables, diagnostic products, and related equipment.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions based on laboratory applications.
  • Conduct customer visits, product presentations, demonstrations, and commercial negotiations.
  • Develop new leads through prospecting, networking, cold calling, referrals, tenders, and other business-development activities.
  • Manage sales pipelines, opportunities, quotations, tenders, and sales forecasts.
  • Monitor sales performance against targets and take corrective action when required.
  • Analyze customer needs, market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and market opportunities.
  • Provide regular market intelligence and competitor information to management.
  • Identify market demand for new and existing microbiology products and provide recommendations for portfolio development.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase market penetration and expand Biomedia's customer base.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Applications, Technical Support, Product Management, and Logistics teams to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Work closely with the applications and technical teams to provide appropriate technical support and solutions to customers.
  • Lead negotiations and close strategic and high-value opportunities.
  • Support government and institutional tenders, quotations, contracts, and procurement processes.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, pipeline updates, and market reports to management.
  • Build and strengthen Biomedia Thailand's image as a trusted and reliable partner in microbiology and laboratory solutions.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate sales team members when applicable.
  • Share product, market, and customer knowledge with the sales team to improve overall sales effectiveness.
  • Represent Biomedia professionally at exhibitions, conferences, seminars, workshops, and customer events.
  • Travel within Thailand as required to support customers and develop new business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Life Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in microbiology, clinical laboratory, life science, medical technology, diagnostics, or laboratory equipment.
  • Strong experience selling bacteria culture media, microbiology products, life science consumables, laboratory equipment, or diagnostic solutions is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing hospital laboratories, universities, research institutes, government institutions, clinical laboratories, or other institutional accounts.
  • Good understanding of microbiology laboratory applications, particularly bacterial culture, culture media, microbial testing, and laboratory workflows.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong experience in key account management, business development, negotiation, and customer relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of the Thailand market and competitive landscape in microbiology and laboratory products.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate confidently in both written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and influence customers and key stakeholders at different levels.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret market and sales data.
  • Able to develop sales strategies and translate them into measurable business results.
  • A team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional, self-motivated, results-oriented, focused, proactive, and creative.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to travel within Thailand and visit customers regularly.
  • Possession of a valid driving license and own car is preferred/required, depending on territory and customer coverage.
