Job Description

• Develop and execute growth strategies for modified starch product portfolios across Southeast Asia and international markets.
• Originate new sourcing opportunities, build supplier partnerships, and expand customer relationships throughout the starch value chain.
• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and customers to secure sustainable, profitable, and long-term business agreements.
• Manage strategic sourcing programs for tapioca starch, modified starches, and related derivatives while monitoring supply, pricing, and market dynamics.
• Coordinate sales activities and market expansion initiatives across key export destinations, including Asia and North America.
• Provide market intelligence, identify trade and arbitrage opportunities, and support business planning and growth strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, operations, finance, and risk management to ensure efficient execution and business performance.
  
  

The Successful Applicant

• Over 10 years of commercial experience within starch, food ingredients, agribusiness, commodities, or related industries.
• Strong expertise in tapioca starch, modified starches, starch derivatives, and their commercial applications.
• Deep knowledge of the Southeast Asian starch industry, including producers, exporters, supply chains, and market dynamics.
• Proven track record in business development, origination, sourcing, sales, and complex commercial negotiations.
• Established network with starch producers, suppliers, and customers across Thailand, Southeast Asia, and key export markets.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and ability to identify and execute profitable trading or business opportunities.
• Entrepreneurial, self-driven professional with excellent English communication skills and experience managing international business relationships.
