Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Service representatives of several engines and pump makers
• Perform installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of onboard equipment and systems.
• Attend vessels to provide field technical service and emergency breakdown support.
• Support commissioning and sea trials, including functional testing and verification of engine performance.
• Prepare service reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical recommendations to customers regarding maintenance intervals, equipment condition, repairs and performance improvement.

• Support spare-parts identification and technicalrecommendations based on inspection findings.

• Investigate recurring equipment failures and identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with engineering, project, and service teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and service procedures.
• Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and retrofit projects when required.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, spare parts, tools, and equipment used.
• Travel domestically and internationally for vessel attendance and customer support.
• Participate in on-call or emergency service duties when required.

Requirements
Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in marine or onboard service engineering.
• Minimum Diploma holder in relevant field
• Experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance is preferred.
• Candidates with less experience but strong learning aptitude may also be considered
• Willing to travel for work
• Self-motivated, hardworking, responsible, and able to work independently or in a team
