Software Engineer

Role Description: As a Software Engineer at UBN, you will design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that support core business functions. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into reliable, secure, and scalable systems, with a focus on back-end web development. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, performing code reviews, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and contributing to architecture and design discussions. You will also help improve development workflows, documentation, and best practices across the team. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bangkok.

Qualifications:

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles. (IMPORTANT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WITH AI)
• Hands-on experience with Software Development and Programming in one or more modern languages (such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in production systems.
• Ability to write maintainable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews constructively.
• Comfort working in collaborative, cross-functional teams and communicating technical ideas clearly.
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and common development tools and workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Willingness to work on-site in Bangkok and continuously learn new technologies and practices.
