Vice President Substation Business Unit

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Vice President – Substation to lead and drive the overall performance of our Substation Business Unit. This role will oversee the business end-to-end, covering business strategy, business development, project execution, engineering, procurement, commercial management, operations, and P&L performance. The successful candidate as a strategic business partner, providing insights and recommendations to support key business decisions, growth strategies, and long-term business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall strategy, business plan, and P&L of the Substation Business Unit.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, cost efficiency, cash flow, and overall BU performance.
• Develop new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle from tendering and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed cost, schedule, quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
• Lead commercial, tender, contract, and negotiation activities for major projects.
• Identify and manage key business, project, commercial, and operational risks.
• Establish effective organization structures, operating processes, and performance management systems for the BU.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team across business development, engineering, project management, procurement, commercial, and operations.
• Provide strategic, investment, business expansion, and critical decision-making.
• Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with major customers, business partners, contractors, and other external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, new markets, and business expansion within the power infrastructure and energy sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in Substation, Transmission, Power Infrastructure, EPC, or related businesses.
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role, such as VP, Business Unit Head, Director, or equivalent.
• Strong track record in managing business operations, P&L, revenue, project portfolio, and organizational performance.
• Strong understanding of substation systems, EPC project execution, engineering, procurement, and construction.
• Solid experience in business development, commercial management, tendering, and contract negotiation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and manage multiple complex projects.
• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with C-Level executives and senior stakeholders.
• Good command of English.
