Job Summary:
We are looking for a Business Development Executive to support the growth of our project-based software development business. You will be responsible for finding new clients, managing key accounts, and guiding opportunities from initial contact through contract signing. The role requires strong communication, a consultative mindset, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet client expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the assigned target industries or markets.
- Generate leads, qualify prospects, and manage the sales pipeline to support quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Conduct market and client research to uncover new opportunities for custom software development, system integration, or digital solution services.
- Increase customer value by identifying upsell, cross-sell, or expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
- Maintain strong, professional communication with customers, partners, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build, manage, and grow relationships with key accounts to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Initiate contact with potential clients, establish rapport, and arrange discovery meetings.
- Coordinate requirements gathering, pricing discussions, and contract preparation to ensure alignment with client needs and project capabilities.
- Drive deal closure through effective negotiation, clear communication of scope, and proper handover to delivery teams.
- Support or lead new business and marketing initiatives such as events, campaigns, or outreach activities to increase market visibility.
- Prepare and manage sales-related documents, agreements, and reports.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support departmental objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 35 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally within software development, IT solutions, or technology consulting environments.
- Proven track record of lead generation, pipeline management, and successful deal closure.
- Experience selling project-based software development, custom solutions, or digital transformation services is highly preferred.
- Strong skills in prospecting, discovery, solution-based/consultative selling, proposal development, pricing, and contract negotiation.
- Ability to analyze client needs, industry trends, and buyer personas to identify feasible business opportunities.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Self-driven, dynamic, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
