Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure supporting analytics, reporting, and data-driven business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines from structured and unstructured data sources.
- Build and optimize data models, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across data pipelines.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement data validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Automate data workflows using orchestration tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar.
- Document data flows, architecture, and technical processes.
- Ensure data security and privacy requirements are followed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Strong programming experience in at least one of Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, dbt, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
- Understanding of data lake/lakehouse architectures.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with relational databases; NoSQL experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
