Job Purpose:
- To ensure financial statements of operating units are prepared in accordance with the accounting standards and local statutory requirements
- To ensure operating units comply with tax laws and regulations
- To ensure operating units comply with GPA and Motors Division Finance Policies & Procedures
- To evaluate the adequacy and integrity of operating units internal controls and management information system and to recommend appropriate actions to minimise risk and exposure
- Plan, develop, implement and supervise all new project development with the aim of assisting the Country head to drive the results of the operating units to achieve the profit objectives as per M Plan
- To manage budget planning and supports the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice
Job Description:
Financials
- Review MFR and ensure timely submission
- Analyse and interpret financial results of operating units, highlight any material variances or irregularities to Head office and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor monthly results against budget/forecast, follow up on major variances, recommend and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Conduct half yearly Trial Balance and reconciliations review to ensure that any irregularities are addressed by the operating units
Tax
- Forward tax planning
- Provide assistance and guidance to operating units, and ensure all operating units comply with tax laws and regulations
- Annual corporate tax review with tax consultant and Tax dept
Internal Control & Audit
- Assist operating units in ensuring controls are effective by conducting regular review of operational processes
- To drive closure of all internal/external audit findings by ensuring that corrective action plans are implemented timely
- Be driver of process improvement
- Audit reviews with internal and external auditors
- Perform Country Risk Champions, Actions plan and risk monitoring.
- Perform Country Compliance Champions, Actions plan and compliance monitoring.
Treasury
- Manage working capital requirements within the available facility
- To hedge foreign currency exposure to minimise forex risk and protect profit margin
- Liaise with bankers and Motors Division Treasury dept on banking facilities and intra group loan
- Cash flow planning to ensure maximise fund utilization, minimize funding cost and optimise return on investments.
Legal
- Ensure compliance with Thailand Corporate law
- Monitor and follow up on all outstanding litigations of operating units and the financial exposure
- Vet through major agreements before Management sign-off to ensure interest of the Group is well protected and minimise any risk
Strategy
- Review Annual Management Plan and coordinate the preparation of the budget with operating units.
- Assist Country head in executing, monitoring and tracking the strategy plans as set forth in the M Plan
Feasibility studies/capital expenditure spending
- Evaluate and prepare proposal and financial projection for capital investments in Plant & Equipment, Network and other Projects.
- Consult with executive management on business strategies pertaining to new brands and existing brands expansion.
People
- Provide guidance and coaching to finance team of the operating units
- Support finance personnel development through periodic performance reviews, monitoring, counseling and feedback
Others
- Leading Procurement activities and ensure compliance with GPPA.
- Perform Tender Committee and Directorship role
- Enhance work process in order to streamline the operations with better productivity, including implement IT Automation.
- Assist the Managing Director in preparing all reports and any other tasks and responsibilities from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree or professional qualification in Finance & Accounting
- 10 years or more experience in a finance managerial role with a structured organisation, with some years in audit and automotive industry
- Good knowledge in accounting and tax principles, including Thailand corporate and tax laws
- Good inter-personal skills and able to liaise with government department.
- Exceptional time management, planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
