We are looking for a proactive, solution-oriented legal professional who can operate beyond traditional legal advisory work and become a trusted business partner to the organization. The ideal candidate should be commercially driven, practical, and capable of supporting business growth while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the legal team to ensure efficient legal operations aligned with the company's business direction and corporate policies.
- Establish and maintain an effective contract management system and legal database to support business operations and corporate governance.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and provide legal advice on various commercial agreements and legal documents, including: OEM / manufacturing agreements, Distribution agreements, Import–export agreements, Procurement and supply agreements, etc.
- Business partnership and cross-border commercial agreements
- Act as a strategic legal business partner to management and cross-functional teams by providing practical and commercially focused legal advice to support business initiatives and mitigate legal risks.
- Manage legal disputes, claims, and litigation matters, including coordinating with external legal counsels, law firms, regulators, and government authorities.
- Prepare legal reports, litigation updates, legal opinions, and legal risk assessments for management and executive leadership.
- Oversee applications, renewals, and compliance matters relating to licenses, permits, and regulatory requirements relevant to FMCG and food manufacturing operations.
- Lead and support Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) compliance initiatives, including policy development, data privacy advisory, risk assessment, and employee awareness programs.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, procurement, supply chain, marketing, manufacturing, and HR teams to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decision-making processes.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer products, trade, and commercial operations, and proactively provide recommendations to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law
- At least 5 years of legal experience, preferably as in-house counsel within FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer products, retail, or multinational companies
- Strong experience in commercial contracts, corporate legal matters, compliance, and business partnering
- Experience handling litigation and coordinating with external legal counsels
- Knowledge of PDPA, commercial law, import-export regulations, and corporate governance
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial objectives
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced business environment
- Good command of English and Thai, both written and spoken
