About the Role
The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting engineering design, project estimation, panel building, automation solutions, and project execution activities related to Orise projects. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, technicians, and sales teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions aligned with customer requirements and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering designs, technical specifications, proposals, and presentations for component products, fully built-up electrical panels, and automation-related works associated with Orise projects.
- Review and interpret specification documents, proposals, and functional design specifications for electrical and process control projects.
- Conduct site surveys when required, including turnkey control system solutions involving PLC, SCADA, or DCS hardware, control panels, application software, commissioning activities, management services, electrical panels, site installation, and related assemblies.
- Work under the supervision of the Electrical Project Manager while maintaining close coordination with Project Managers, Department Managers, and Sales Executives to provide technical and commercial support related to project hardware and solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to develop technical solutions, prepare man-hour estimations, and support proposal development for customers.
- Perform component sourcing, pricing evaluations, and procurement-related activities to support project execution.
- Monitor and follow up on product delivery schedules to ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and reflected in proposals by providing the most suitable and effective technical engineering solutions within the required timeline.
- Support automation project execution by carrying out hardware engineering activities as assigned by the Electrical Project Manager and/or Project Manager.
- Coordinate and supervise technicians and electrical trade personnel involved in workshop panel-building activities.
- Ensure all wiring layouts, component positioning, and design implementations comply with approved customer electrical drawings, whether internally developed or customer-provided.
- Support sales activities when required, including product demonstrations and on-site demo installations.
- Perform on-site installation and commissioning activities in accordance with product principal standards, installation procedures, and operational requirements.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety by complying with all company, customer, and government safety regulations and standards.
- Carry out any additional duties or assignments as directed by the Electrical Project Manager.
Qualifications
- Vocational Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of bus bar sizing calculations, short circuit calculations, and Low Voltage (LV) panel design drawings using E-Plan software.
- Hands-on experience with control systems, instrumentation, drives, PLC, SCADA, and other process field equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both Thai and English preferred.
- Self-motivated and dynamic team player with the ability to work independently or collaboratively to achieve successful project completion within timeline and budget requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Must currently reside in Bangkok or nearby areas.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment with strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- EPlan and AutoCAD design software.
