The Senior Finance Executive is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of Acteon Thailand, with key responsibilities across cost accounting, inventory accounting, financial reporting, accounts receivable, budgeting support, financial analysis and finance administration.
This role is designed for an experienced finance professional who has developed a strong foundation in accounting and finance operations and is seeking the next stage of career growth toward a Finance Manager position. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, contribute to business decision-making through financial insights, and progressively assume broader financial management responsibilities.
The position offers a structured development pathway for high-potential finance professionals who demonstrate leadership capability, commercial acumen and the ambition to grow into an Assistant Finance Manager or Finance Manager role within approximately 2 to 3 years.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cost & Inventory Accounting
- Manage inventory receipts for both domestic and international purchases.
- Record, maintain and monitor accurate product costs, inventory movements and inventory adjustments.
- Support monthly inventory closing activities, reconciliations and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reporting.
- Calculate product costs and provide costing analysis to support pricing decisions, tenders and commercial initiatives.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and collaborate with Operations, Warehouse and Customer Service teams to resolve discrepancies.
Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing
- Prepare daily sales reports and monthly financial reports for local management and Group Finance.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and reporting submissions.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls and financial procedures.
Accounts Receivable & Credit Management
- Manage customer billing, cheque collection and accounts receivable activities.
- Monitor customer outstanding balances and aging reports.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and coordinate collection efforts with the commercial team.
- Support credit control activities and recommend actions to minimize bad debt exposure.
- Maintain accurate customer account records and collection documentation.
Financial Analysis & Business Support
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Assist management in preparing financial analysis, profitability reviews and performance reporting.
- Partner with Sales, Service, Customer Service and Operations teams to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
- Support ad hoc business analysis and management reporting requirements.
- Assist in identifying risks, opportunities and operational efficiencies through financial analysis.
- Internal Controls & Continuous Improvement
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and financial governance standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting efficiency and internal controls.
- Participate in finance projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Take on progressively broader finance responsibilities based on demonstrated performance and capability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Strong practical experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) management.
- Experience in month-end closing, financial reporting and account reconciliations.
- Experience in accounts receivable, billing, credit control and customer collections.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP and accounting systems.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Experience in a multinational, healthcare, medical device, distribution, trading or industrial environment would be highly advantageous.
- Previous exposure to supervising junior staff, leading finance improvement initiatives, or coordinating cross-functional projects would be an advantage.
